Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do you guarantee your services?

Answer:

Yes. We guarantee that we will not stop working your case until full tax resolution is reached in the form of a customized resolution program that satisfies both you and the IRS and/or state taxing authority.

  • How long does the resolutions process take?

Answer:

Reaching tax resolution can range anywhere from 30 days to over a year based on the complexities of each individual case. Keep in mind, we are dealing with the monstrosity of the federal government and even WE have to play their waiting game at times.

  • Can you guarantee a specific resolution like an Offer in Compromise or a Currently Non-Collectible?

Answer:

No, we cannot guarantee any specific Tax Resolution outcome since that decision is ultimately up to the IRS or state taxing authorities.  It would be impossible for any company to make that promise. What we can guarantee is that we will establish the best tax resolution option available to you based on your eligibility as determined by the IRS or state taxing authorities.

  • Will you provide continuous updates?

Answer:

We wish we could, but due to the large volume of cases we manage, it is simply beyond our ability to reach out to every client on a frequent basis.  The majority of the process produces no new updates to share.  We will notify you when there is a significant update, but otherwise we do ask that you are patient.

  • Can I cancel my services with you?

Answer:

Our retainer agreement terms allow you to cancel within 3 days from signing the document to receive a full refund of all payments made to us for services outlined in the retainer agreement signed.  There is a $200 processing fee if you cancel within this time.  After 3 days you may cancel but the full amount will still be due and payable.

  • Can I get my money back if I cancel my services with you?

Answer:

Unfortunately no.  Once we take you on as a client we begin extensive work on your case right away.  All our client cases take countless of hours of work by our team of tax professionals while research your case, build up your profile and petition the IRS or state for all tax resolutions you may qualify for.  Our company invests multiple hours on your case and these resources do represent a financial cost.

  • Couldn’t I just do this myself?

Answer:

Of course. But the process is very complicated and time-consuming, which is why we exist.  Our team includes enrolled agents and other tax professionals certified and licensed to negotiate with the IRS and state tax authorities.  The process can be very complex and often requires long hours on hold with the IRS and as well as a thorough understanding of the tax laws, specific tax documents required, and familiarity with the inner-workings of the IRS and state taxing authorities.  In addition, we are able to negotiate more favorable terms and acceptance rates than typically offered directly to taxpayers.

  • Will I be assigned a case manager?

Answer:

You will most likely hear from several members of our team during the process.  Each stage of the process will engage a different internal expert who will oversee that specific step.  However, you will start out with an introduction to your Primary Case Manager who will act as your main point of contact.

  • Can you stop a wage garnishment?

Answer:

Our resolution services do include a complete protection against any form of collections such as wage garnishments and bank levies.  As long as you contact us in time, we will be able to stop them.  If you are already getting your wages garnished, our services will also be able to release the garnishments and pending bank levies. The longer you delay, the less likely we will be able to protect you.

  • Can you guarantee me a savings of "pennies on the dollar" on my tax debt?

Answer:

Absolutely not! (And NO company can guarantee that). Any firm that makes blanket guarantees of pennies on the dollar savings on their client's tax debt is not only grossly misleading the client, but is essentially operating illegally. We do, however, guarantee full tax resolution that may include negotiated settlements which will allow for some taxpayers to pay less than the original amount owed to the IRS.

  • I have Unfiled Taxes.  Can you still help me with my tax debt?

Answer:

If you have unfiled taxes, we would need to get you compliant and caught up with all those tax returns before we could tackle any resolution options.  The IRS/State will not even consider any resolution options if you have any unfiled tax years.

Fortunately, this is our specialty, as we are both a tax resolution and a fully accredited tax preparation firm. So if you wish, we can also offer this service to you at very competitive prices.

  • Can the IRS/State really take my assets?

Answer:

Yes.... The IRS/State has the legal right to seize assets in the form of wages, bank accounts, investments, vehicles and in rare instances, even your home to settle an outstanding tax debt. In fact, The IRS/States are the only entities in the entire country that can legally seize assets WITHOUT a court order.

  • Could I go to jail if I don't resolve my tax problem?

Answer:

Technically yes..... HOWEVER, since we take a serious and aggressive approach to resolving all of our client's tax matters, then we can virtually guarantee you that you will never have to worry about going to federal prison.

  • How soon will you begin working on my case?

Answer:

Immediately upon retaining our services... The collections division of the IRS/State is extremely aggressive so therefore we fight fire with fire by matching their level of aggression in terms pursuing resolution for our clients.

  • How will this affect my credit?

Answer:

By hiring our firm, it will potentially improve your credit rating being that we will work to ultimately have all levies and liens discharged. Discharge of federal tax liens from your credit report will ultimately improve your credit scores.

  • Are you a law firm?

Answer:

No. We are a full service, nationwide Tax Resolution Firm which employs Tax Attorneys, CPA's, Tax Analysts, Enrolled Agents, Former IRS agents, and other tax professionals.

  • Do you handle State tax matters?

Answer:

  • Do you handle business tax matters also?

Answer:

Yes. We also specialize in all tax matters relating to personal and business tax issues including corporate return filing, payroll tax issues (940's and 941's), audit representation, audit appeal, etc...CORPORATE FORMATIONS AS WELL AS BOOKKEEPING SERVICES.

  • What other services do you offer?

Answer:

Tax Preparation

We are a nationwide, fully accredited Tax Preparation firm in addition to a tax defense firm  Ask your Sr. Tax Analyst for more information.

We always recommend using us to file your taxes when you also have tax matters.  Better to keep everything in house instead of hiring another company to do your taxes even though they won’t have the ability to handle your tax resolution matters.

IRS Collection Hold

We offer a secondary service, an IRS COLLECTION HOLD that ENSURES that your protection begins right away, especially during the initial stages of the process while we investigate and prepare your case.

There is often a high likelihood that the IRS has placed your case in the advanced stages of collections.  It is an OPTIONAL SERVICE, however, for a case like yours we HIGHLY recommend it to all our clients.

Tax Management

We also offer a highly popular Tax Management program that not only protects you from any future confrontations with the IRS/State, but ensures that you are protected continuously.  This program provides year around protection.  We pull your transcripts each quarter and review and report back to you all findings which will basically ensure that IF ANY SORT OF TAX ISSUE HAS ARISEN IN THE BACKGROUND.  If we notice anything out of the ordinary (Such as additional liabilities, random Revenue Officer examinations, Audit requests, or identity theft red flags) then we will be able to address them quickly and aggressively. This program will also include annual federal and state tax return filings.
